Branson West Municipal - Emerson Field Airport - Branson West, MO

Brand new airport near Branson, excellent facilities, inexpensive fuel, secure, car rental arrangements and very friendly operator. Branson is one of the top destinations in the Mid West, with enough activities in the area to keep you busy for several weeks from fishing to theater with shopping in between. Beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. We spent 1 night, enjoyed a wonderful meal at the White River Fish House on the Branson Landing in Old Town. The pedestrian walkway along the river, the dancing water fountain show and the fine shops are unique and give you a family oriented Las Vegas type experience in a much prettier location. We'll be back. Oh, I forgot to mention the Fall foliage in early October. - Submitted by Jorge Blohm

Floyd W. Jones Airport - Lebanon, MO

This place is amazing. We just ped down to use the restroom, and the FBO staff met us on the ramp. He was extra friendly, and offered lemon aide and cookies. He told us to in about lunch time on any week day, and lunch was served. We did just that today, and the fare was awesome. All home-cooked food, fried chicken, ham and green beans, pie and cake and ice cream. I ped a few bills at least what we would have paid for this in a good RESTURANT in the kitty. It is a ceramic kitty, by the way. The folks there are super-friendly as well. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we were racing the pop-up storms. I think When I retire, I'll fly down there a couple of times a week, just to sit and chat. - Submitted by David Kincade
