The majority of riveting on the RV-12iS is done with the LP4-3 Pop Rivet. Most go in very easily, but some require a great trick from Van's, an angled wedge that allows the installation of a Pop Rivet in situations where the pop rivet gun barrel is too large to use perpendicular to a surface.

Airplanes participating in the Fly-In include: Antiques, Classics, Warbirds, Replicas and Homebuilt airplanes that will be on display throughout the event. All aircraft are welcome. Gainesville, Texas, considered the northern Gateway to Texas is located on I-35, six miles south of the Oklahoma border. There will be static displays, group fly-bys and good food, plenty of flying activities, fun and educational seminars for kids. A fly-mart where you might find that special part you've been looking for and aircraft judging as well as exhibits, forums and vendors. Discounts on fuel and Door Prizes are also planned. We did a review of the new Strut Clamp Camera Mount from NFlightCam. This camera mount allows the placement of a GoPro, Garmin, or any action camera with a 3-finger (GoPro-style) mount, or 1/4"x20 threaded socket, to almost any aircraft strut, from a J3 Cub, all the way up to a Cessna Caravan.

The Corsicana Air Show is considered 'Best Little Airshow in Texas,' when the Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) hosts a fun-filled day featuring vintage air planes from the World War II era. The Coyote Squadron, a unit of the Commemorative Air Force, operates from C. David Campbell Field, Corsicana's Municipal airport, which itself began as a pilot training center during World War II. We had a great time visiting the Mid America Flight Museum in Mt Pleasant, Texas. There are a lot of beautiful Aviation museums across the country that have their own particular mission. Mid America Flight Museum is based in Mt. Pleasant Texas (KOSA). Their museum differentiates itself from many other museums in that the great majority of the airplanes in the museum fly on a regular bases, and that ongoing projects are being restored to fly! On this particular day, we had an extreme crosswind,straight across the runway with winds gusting at 25 mph. I asked my instructor, who has over 5,000 hours of flight time, to take us up for this video. We have and ADS-B setup using ForeFlight Stratus II for displaying traffic.
